TriHealth Pavilion Offering 12-Week Weight-Loss Program

Ever heard of LifeSteps? It’s a proven, 12-week weight management program, offered at the TriHealth Fitness and Health Pavilion. The program provides guidance for healthy eating and physical activity, while equipping you with strategies for successfully making healthy behavior changes.

LifeSteps: How it Works

The goal is to help you make lifestyle modifications so you not only lose weight, but keep it off. “It’s more than behavior modification, physical activity focused,” Gina Feldkamp, a registered dietitian at the Pavilion, tells Local 12’s Liz Bonis.  

Gina says you check in with her team twice a week to help hold yourself accountable. Initially, Gina’s team focuses on helping you incorporate physical activity into your life. This can be as simple as 10 minutes of exercise, for two to three times a day, “just to do something,” she points out. 

Throughout the rest of the program, your LifeSteps coach will work with you on keeping a food record to monitor the foods you’re eating as well as the portion sizes.

Looking Ahead: Local 12 Follows Two LifeSteps Participants During Their Journey

Two participants currently enrolled in the program, Terri Creager and Dave Sleater, have agreed to let Local 12 follow them in their LifeSteps journey. Dave, recently diagnosed with Type II diabetes, is focusing on getting his blood sugars to a safe range of 100 to 110.

Terri, on the other hand, says: “I’m looking to lose 20 pounds by January.”
