NAFE Names TriHealth One of the 2018 “Top 10 NONPROFIT Companies for Executive Women”

The National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) has named TriHealth one of the Top 10 Non Profit Companies for Executive Women for 2018. The award recognizes organizations that identify and advance women through their ranks. TriHealth is the only nonprofit in Ohio to be recognized by NAFE.

This year’s award marks the 10th time TriHealth has been named to the NAFE Top 10 Non Profit Companies for Executive Women by NAFE. Support for women’s advancement, strong company culture and a focus on programs to provide work/life balance are a few of the reasons TriHealth continues to receive this honor.

“At TriHealth, we are always looking for opportunities to support our team and create opportunities for growth for everyone,” said David Cook, Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of TriHealth. “TriHealth aims to be the place where people most want to work, where physicians want to practice and where our community increasingly chooses to receive care.”

The list recognizes organizations whose policies and practices encourage women’s advancement and whose numbers at the highest levels of leadership demonstrate that commitment. Part of the recognition was based on having significant female representation in senior management roles. There are also a number of women holding director, manager and supervisor positions throughout TriHealth. About 85 percent of TriHealth team members are women.

TriHealth has a robust set of benefits for team members, which are aimed at creating work-life balance, creating trust and improving quality of care. These programs include a TriHealth cohort for a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership (MSOL) through a special partnership with Mount Saint Joseph University. The direct cost for participants is minimized and any amount that is reimbursable through the TriHealth tuition reimbursement benefit is billed directly to TriHealth. These offerings allow team members to focus on work while they are at work and on their families when they are home.

“NAFE emphasizes women with bottom-line and top-line responsibility—the positions that lead to the corner office,” according to Subha V. Barry, vice president and general manager, Working Mother Media (WMM). “In addition, more than a quarter of the board of director’s members at the 2017 NAFE Top 10 nonprofits are women.” NAFE is a division of WMM.

NAFE, founded in 1972, is one of the nation’s largest businesswomen’s associations and is part of Working Mother Media, publisher of Working Mother magazine. The NAFE Top Companies survey evaluates companies on every aspect of women’s advancement, including succession planning, profit and loss, roles, gender pay parity, support programs and work life balance programs.
