When a bout of gastrointestinal upset landed him in the hospital as a child, Brandon Stewart, PA-C, got interested in how the body works. In high school, a medical tech program introduced him to the GI system and how it impacts all of the body’s other systems. Brandon brings nearly three years of experience in the challenging environments of emergency medicine to his GI patients.
As a certified physician assistant, Brandon sees adults for acute and chronic illnesses of the gastrointestinal tract, including reflux disease, celiac disease, colitis and irritable bowel syndrome. He approaches every patient with a simple question, “How can I help you?” He listens carefully to determine his patients’ concerns and needs. Acknowledging the role the GI tract plays in good health, Brandon encourages everyone to eat more fiber and varied sources of plant foods.
Originally from Toledo, Brandon and his wife have a daughter. A big sports fan, he enjoys golfing, exercising and snowboarding.
