As an 11-year-old small town girl, Christina Watson, DNP, was impressed by the cool scrubs and big building where she met the nurses who tended her grandfather after surgery. After 20 years as a nurse, she felt she could do more and went back to school to earn bachelor’s and master’s degrees, then a doctorate in nursing. She gained five years of experience as a nurse practitioner caring for internal medicine and gastroenterology patients in hospital and outpatient settings.
As a certified nurse practitioner, Christina sees adults for the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses of the gastrointestinal tract. She emphasizes the importance of working with patients to develop treatment plans that fit into their lifestyles, allowing them to do what they need to promote healing and wellness. She encourages everyone to eat better, incorporating more fiber and less processed food into their regular diets.
