Dr. Harold Loewenstine brings a wealth of experience to his gastroenterology and hepatology practice at TriHealth. Over the past 30-plus years, he has performed thousands of endocopic procedures with good outcomes. He believes in staying current with new methods and often innovates with new endoscopic procedures.
Dr. Loewenstine sees adults for the diagnosis and treatment of digestive tract and liver disorders, including inflammatory bowel disease, acid reflux, colon cancer and cirrhosis. He also works with critically ill patients. Very problem-focused, he assures that patients leave his office with a specific plan of action. He emphasizes clear communication to be sure patients understand the path to achieving the outcomes he believes they can obtain. He encourages everyone to stay current with preventive care, including regular colonoscopies after age 45.
A lifelong resident of Cincinnati, Dr. Loewenstine has two grown daughters. He is passionate about breeding and racing thoroughbred horses. He has an English Labrador and enjoys college football.
