About Me

Conditions I specialize in
  • Otolaryngology

Eric Schwetschenau, MD, chose a career in medicine largely influenced by his father, a doctor. He observed his father's ability to improve the lives of his patients through medicine, and wanted to continue providing help to those in need. He was immediately drawn to Otolaryngology as it allowed him to work with a diverse patient population with a wide variety of medical issues.

Dr. Schwetschenau provides medical and surgical treatment for pediatric and adult patients with Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) issues. He works collaboratively with his patients, discussing risks and benefits of treatment options, and views the decision-making process as a team effort between physician and patient. Dr. Schwetschenau is particularly interested in performing pediatric Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) surgeries, including tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy and sinus surgery.

Dr. Schwetschenau's practice focus includes:
- Pediatric and adult ENT (ear, nose, throat issues)
- Head and neck surgery (e.g. thyroid and parathyroid surgery, head and neck cancer, tonsillectomy)
- Sinus and nasal airway surgery
- Allergy treatment
- Obstructive sleep apnea

Outside of the office, Dr. Schwetschenau enjoys tennis, skiing and chasing after his four young boys!

Dr. S explained my hearing loss, explained that it could be fixed, but that would cause the fluid in my ear to pool and they would have to puncture my eardrum again to relieve the pressure. A new tube wouldn't work. The hearing aids were the best choice!

He listened to what I had to say I wasn't one to rush and do a lot of test. He suggested things gave me his card to stay in touch if things got worse, and I felt I needed to see him again. He calmed my fears of the worst.
