Erica Mitchell, AGACNP-BC, feels nursing is truly her
calling. She loves taking care of people and helping
them feel better. After eight years of caring for trauma
victims and critically ill patients as a registered nurse,
she chose to take a more active role in patient health
by returning to school to become a nurse practitioner.
Erica is intrigued by the puzzles encountered in
gastroenterology, where issues can range from simple
to complex and a comprehensive treatment plan can
result in an improved quality of life.
As a certified nurse practitioner, Erica sees adults for
acute and chronic illnesses of the gastrointestinal tract.
She wants people to feel comfortable talking with her
and to trust her with their concerns. She encourages
everyone to be an advocate for their own health and to
speak up when something seems wrong.
A lifelong resident of the Cincinnati area, Erica is
married and has two children. She enjoys spending
time with her family.
