Dr. Heather Barhorst remembers wanting to be a doctor since childhood. During medical school, she came to appreciate the challenges and lifelong learning involved in medicine. She also saw the close personal relationships she could develop and the impact she could have on patients’ lives. She chose to specialize in obstetrics and gynecology as a unique and diverse field that involves both primary care and surgery. She enjoys caring for women throughout all stages of life.
Dr. Barhorst sees adolescents and adults for all obstetric and gynecologic concerns, including annual wellness exams, pregnancy care and contraception management. She is certified in minimally invasive and robotic gynecologic surgery. She believes in providing evidence based, comprehensive care that works for each individual’s life. She ensures that patients feel welcome, empowered and comfortable to discuss all concerns with her. She encourages everyone to bring their health questions to their doctor for expert advice.
A native of northern Kentucky, Dr. Barhorst is excited to return to the Cincinnati area. She enjoys reading, exercising, shopping, travel, concerts and cheering Cincinnati and University of Kentucky sports teams.
