Dr. Jean Pannikottu values the unique blend of science
and the art of caring for people that defines medicine.
She finds it rewarding to help patients improve
and recognizes the significant impact appropriate
antimicrobial therapy can have on people’s symptoms.
After completing her fellowship in infectious diseases,
she worked as a physician and assistant professor at
University Hospitals - Case Western Reserve University
in Cleveland before coming to TriHealth.
As a board-certified physician, Dr. Pannikottu specializes
in the diagnosis, treatment and management of acute
and chronic diseases caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi
and parasites. She is especially interested in human
immunodeficiency virus (HIV) medicine. She takes
a team approach to care, knowing that her patients
are the experts in their experiences. Dr. Pannikottu
encourages open conversations about treatment plans,
so that she can meet each individual’s needs.
Originally from Akron, Dr. Pannikottu met her husband
in Cincinnati. They enjoy trying new cuisines in the city.
She also enjoys acrylic painting and cooking in her free
time.
