TriHealth On Call: Emergency Care is Safe and Important During COVID-19

Staying at home during COVID-19 has led many to forgo the emergency care that they need. In this segment of TriHealth on Call, Chris Zammit MD, Medical Director of Stroke and Neurocritical Care with TriHealth and Kenneth Patton, DO, Medical Director of TriHealth’s Bethesda North Hospital Emergency Department, explain why getting emergency care when needed is important, especially for those conditions that are time dependent and could put a patient in danger if not treated quickly. They also provide reassurance of the priority emergency departments are placing on patient safety and explain protocols such as screening and isolation to minimize exposure to the virus.
