After months of stringent restrictions at local hospitals and healthcare settings, due to the outbreak of COVID-19, some local hospitals are relaxing their visitor restrictions in certain areas. In this segment of TriHealth’s Health Talk Live, Local 12’s Liz Bonis speaks with Mark Witte, TriHealth’s Vice President of Clinical Service Lines, about TriHealth’s decision to adjust their visitor restrictions in certain areas with their Compassionate Visitor Policy. He talks about the balance between patient safety and the importance of family members in providing emotional and decision-making support while patients are receiving care and their role in helping patients to heal after they are discharged. He also provides reassurances about the protocols in place to ensure safety in hospitals and other care settings.
