Creating His Own Path: Charles' Journey from Dishwasher to Registered Nurse

Charles Cox, RN at Good Samaritan Hospital, has experienced this supportive work environment first-hand across a variety of roles and departments since joining TriHealth in 2014.

“I first started here at TriHealth at Good Samaritan Hospital as a dishwasher,” says Charles, “I knew I wanted to be in healthcare but just didn’t know exactly what part in the healthcare system I wanted to play.”

Charles has held a variety of roles at Good Samaritan Hospital, including Dishwasher, Patient Care Assistant (now called an Acute Care Technician), Staffing Coordinator, LPN and most recently, RN on 15AB. He is actively pursuing his BSN while working night shift and aspires to pursue a Nurse Practitioner’s degree. No matter the role or the team, Charles has brought his best to TriHealth every day.

“My favorite part about working here at TriHealth is the family orientation,” says Charles, “I’ve been here for so long that I literally know someone on every floor. I really just get that family feeling when I am here.”
