Bio
I became a Nurse Midwife to support women and families in labor. Woman's health l care became an issue in my life when I was first pregnant and realized there were not any options in childbirth . At that time everyone went to sleep and woke up not knowing how their baby was or the sex of their baby. So the only Childbirth classes were at Good Samaritan Hospital. After the birth of my daughter I became a childbirth educator in the Bradley Method.

I attended the University of Mississippi Midwifery School. Since becoming a midwife I have worked in all areas . Home and hospital births, birthing center, military, private practice and now have been at Good Samaritan Hospital since 2002 . Our practice is full scope providing care for women thru the life span. We support our woman's birth plans and support them in labor and delivery. It is an honor to be a part of a new family most important moment in their lives.

Bio
Cindy found her calling to be a Midwife over 2 decades ago. After working for 10 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner with both women and men, she discovered a new passion to work with women and be a part of women's labor and birthing processes. Cindy attended the Medical University of South Carolina for her Nurse Midwifery education, and during that time learned that there was so much more to being a midwife. She could be the one to help, stand witness, and facilitate women taking their power in their health care during one of their important events of their lives. She also discovered that health is so much more than we understand. To that end, she studied and became a Reiki Master . Cindy is one of the founding midwives of TriHealth Nurse Midwives since it's beginning in 2002. She considers it a true honor to work with the women she sees at TriHealth Nurse Midwives .

Bio
I began my nursing career in 1998, working as a Patient Care Assistant and then working as a L&D nurse later that year. After 14 years of working as a L&D nurse, in 2012, I decided to pursue a career in midwifery. Several of my nurse friends went on to become nurse-midwives and returned to work at the hospital I was working at. I longed to have patient relationships that lasted longer than my 12-hour shifts. I desired to establish lasting, caring relationships with women throughout the course of adolescence, preconception, pregnancy and needed gynecological care. Ibecame a midwife in 2014 and Istarted with TriHealth Nurse-Midwives in December 2016. I love being a part of the THNM team! Iam married to Chris and we enjoy traveling, being active, laughing and adding on to our back yard (when it's warm).

Practice focus: Prenatal and Postpartum Care, Well Woman Care; Community Outreach; Centering Pregnancy; Family Planning and Birth Control

Paula is dedicated to providing woman's health services to women throughout the lifespan. She adheres to the philosophy of nurse midwifery in that she is a partner with the women she serves. She believes in the power of women and their loved ones to select the care options that are best for them in any given circumstance, given appropriate information and choices. She occasionally still cries at births, still touched by the miracle of nature and the power of women's bodies.

Nurse midwifery is a second career for Paula; however, she has been a nurse midwife longer than she was in her prior profession. She feels blessed to get to do work every day that is fulfilling, inspiring, and important. She often is heard proclaiming how honored and privileged she feels to be a trusted part of her clients' healthcare team, to be present during some of the most important times of their lives.

She lives with her husband and precocious cat, Gracie . She and her husband have three children- a daughter and 2 sons- and a granddaughter . She enjoys Sunday family dinners, playing golf, being outdoors, listening to live music, and reading.

Bio
Since my early teenage years I knew I wanted to help women and promote women’s health. I never dreamed my goal of health promotion would turn into such a large passion for Midwifery care. I started my career as a labor and delivery nurse where I was able to help families time and time again bring new life into the world. While I loved the work I did, I felt like something was missing. I wanted to celebrate the birth of a new baby with families while also getting to know them outside of the delivery. Midwifery is so much more than childbirth. Midwifery is building relationships, supporting women through whatever needs they may have, encouraging them to better themselves daily and cheering them on through every aspect of life. It is fully committing oneself to the lives of others and I am honored to be able to touch the lives of so many women on a daily basis. I am committed to serving others and I hope that I can continue to positively impact the lives of others through my work at Good Samaritan Hospital for many years to come.

Bio
As a certified nurse midwife (CNM), my practice incorporates both the art of midwifery and the science of evidence based medicine . It is my goal to individualize each woman's care to meet her particular emotional, social and physical needs while offering high quality, safe care based on current research and nurse midwifery standards.

I believe each woman deserves a voice in her care and I strive to collaborate with her in achieving her health care goals across the spectrum of her lifetime. I have been involved in most aspects of women's health care beginning as a registered nurse thirty plus years ago. One of my favorite things about being a CNM is the privilege to be present for women during various times in their lives ranging from preconception to pregnancy and childbirth, and then continuing to provide well woman and other gynecology care . While delivering this care, I want to cheer their successes, support them in the hard times and help them maximize their innate female strength .
