For the 14th time in the last 15 years, TriHealth has been honored as one of the Top 100 Integrated Healthcare Networks in the nation by IMS Health.  After being ranked 50th last year, this year TriHealth was recognized as the 34th most integrated system in the nation.

IMS Health’s award is regarded as the nation’s premier rating to evaluate integrated health networks on their performance and degree of integration of quality integrated patient care. TriHealth was the only local system among the Top 100.

“We are proud to consistently be recognized by IMS Health for our ability to integrate care to benefit our patients and the community,”

“We are proud to consistently be recognized by IMS Health for our ability to integrate care to benefit our patients and the community,” said John Prout, President and Chief Executive Officer of TriHealth. “TriHealth is committed to involving physicians in all aspects of our system; this validates our efforts and is recognition of the critical role physicians and specialists play at TriHealth.”

Scores are determined by compiling overall scores on 33 attributes in weighted performance categories. The rating system is a means for identifying the IMS Top 100 IHNs based on critical success factors, including each network’s ability to operate as a unified organization in eight categories: integration, integrated technology, contractual capabilities, outpatient utilization, financial stability, services and access, hospital utilization, and physicians.

TriHealth received a perfect score for physician participation, and outperformed the average for the Top 100 in hospital utilization, financial stability, outpatient utilization and integrated technology.

The rankings show an overall improvement for the top health systems. IMS Health took ownership of the list last November after acquiring SDI Health.
