The desire to help people is a key reason many physicians cite for going into medicine. For Alexander Saba, MD, helping means more than fixing a medical issue. He also helps his patients by encouraging them to learn more about their bodies and disease processes, believing that educated patients are healthier patients.
Dr. Saba was exposed to the field of surgery at a young age through his father's surgery practice. While he always has been drawn to the technical challenges of surgery, he especially enjoys learning and applying advancements in minimally invasive techniques, including robotic surgery. His practice focus includes: General surgery (gallbladder, hernia, diseases of the colon/rectum) Endoscopy Reflux disease treatment Hiatal hernia surgery.
A native West Sider, Dr. Saba immediately connects with his patients. In his spare time, he enjoys wake boarding, coaching soccer, and spending time with his wife of 25 years and his four children.
