Dr. Petro joined TriHealth after a career in the United States Air Force. Before retiring from the USAF he spent 8 years assigned to a Level 1 Trauma Center training Critical Care Air Transport teams to fly wounded soldiers from theaters around the world. He continues to provide trauma care, now with an expanded focus on geriatric trauma.
Dr. Petro has a surgical practice now based solely on emergency surgery and trauma care. The Acute Care Surgery service provides 24/7 coverage for surgical emergencies, trauma and complex abdominal cases.
