Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship

Research & Education > Education > Graduate Medical Education > Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship

TriHealth's Fellowship Program in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery offers comprehensive training in all areas of urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery. The program emphasizes diagnostic evaluation and management of lower urinary tract dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, defecatory dysfunction, sexual function problems, pelvic pain, and complicated, benign pelvic surgery.

Experience in Medical and Surgical Treatments

Fellows gain experience by working with a large clinical volume of patients who are managed both medically and surgically. Medical management includes biofeedback, physical therapy, pharmacologic therapy, and the use of pessaries. Surgical management includes a wide variety of procedures performed abdominally, vaginally, and laparoscopically/robotically. We also employ a complete approach to diagnostic testing, including multichannel urodynamics, cystoscopy, endoanal ultrasound, and neurophysiologic testing.
