Health Talk Live: The Connection Between Emotional and Physical Health

It’s been well documented that the COVID-19 pandemic can take a toll on the emotional health of adults and children, alike, often causing confusion as some of the symptoms associated with stress and anxiety mirror those of many physical conditions. Stress and anxiety can also cause an actual deterioration of your physical health, especially in those struggling with chronic conditions such as high blood pressure and diabetes.

In this segment of TriHealth’s Health Talk Live, Local 12’s Liz Bonis visits TriHealth’s newly expanded Good Samaritan Western Ridge location to speak with pediatrician Joseph Bailey MD and primary care physician Alexandra Kreiselman MD about the connection between emotional and physical health. They discuss which symptoms are common among children and adults, respectively, and they provide lifestyle recommendations to keep the entire family healthy both emotionally and physically.

They also provide a look at the Western Ridge location, which offers comprehensive and primary and specialty care that is convenient to Cincinnati’s west side. They even explain how the expansion is helping physicians at the location better serve patients using increasingly popular virtual care options.
