Most patients come to see us once they have experienced symptoms. It is at this time that your TriHealth treatment begins. Personalized patient centered care is the core of who we are. You are matched with our interdisciplinary nursing team. These experienced nurses work across all specialties to ensure that you are promptly scheduled for appointments and are able to start treatment quickly. This includes your physical care as well as work with our financial counselors.

During this same time, you are also evaluated by our tumor board. The tumor board meets weekly to discuss your health. This includes your physician, genetic specialists, the nursing team, treatment experts and all disciplines to offer you optimal options.

Oncology nurses become a central component to your care and are registered nurses who care for patients with cancer. They work as part of a multidisciplinary team, in a variety of settings, and with a variety of patients. While it is often said that nurses are the heart of health care, oncology nursing is a particularly challenging and rewarding field of nursing. The oncology nurse is with the cancer patient during their most difficult and intimate moments in life.
