Fourth Annual Family Health Day
Genetics, physicians, nursing and mammography participated in the First Ladies Family Health Day on 10/14 at Corinthian Baptist Church and Rockdale Elementary. Education was provided on genetic counseling and cancer family history, prostate cancer, lung cancer and screening, breast cancer and screening. 5 patients had PSA drawn with 2 referred back to PCP for slightly elevated results. Patients were determined appropriate for PSA screening per Prostate Early Cancer Detection NCCN Guidelines, 2.2018 by Dr. Tefera. Baseline evaluation included family history, historical PSA or screening, race and age.
