What Is Dysphagia?

Dysphagia is caused by problems in muscle control and is common with those who have experienced a stroke, or a medical condition that has damaged the functioning of the body’s nervous system. This impairment compromises nutrition and hydration, and may lead to aspiration pneumonia and dehydration.
