As an EO member, an executive and entrepreneur, it was important to me to go to a group of medical professionals that knew the age appropriate testing conducted for me at one time without regard to the constraints of what health insurance would cover. It was also important to do this in an efficient manner that maximized my time; in this case, I wanted a customized plan for me that would be completed all in one day.
I had initially planned to travel to Cleveland Clinic for my physical, but learned from Healthnetwork that we had access to world-class programs right here in Cincinnati. Teresa, the medical coordinator in the Cincinnati office of Healthnetwork, quickly put me in touch with the team at TriHealth Corporate Health and my journey began.
TriHealth was able to combine both an Executive Physical and a Travel Health appointment for me – and it turned out great. I was scheduled to meet with Dr. Schuler for my Travel Health appointment and Dr. Linz for my Executive Physical. Accommodations were made for my wife who was able to take an active part in discussions and solutions.
The option to include a Travel Health appointment was huge. Jeffrey Schuler, MD, was able to provide me with all the immunizations recommended for my travel. He also provided a full risk-assessment and practical judgment tips that were extremely insightful. It went well beyond normal cautions such as “beware of the water” and other basics I already knew.
Douglas Linz, MD, Medical Director of TriHealth Corporate Health is much more than a doctor focused on just the physical side of health and his program design in execution was transformational. He has an understanding of the challenges that executives, especially that entrepreneurs face. He has a unique perspective on how those challenges can affect your health and how your health can affect your ability to tackle those challenges. He was able to offer me a targeted matrix of actionable items that, even in the short term, have been real game changers for me in mind, body and spirit.
When meeting with the program’s life coach, I was asked what I’d like to accomplish in life. We focused on the idea of integration in my life. I have since integrated the desire to spend more time with my father with a project at work. My father, who is now in his eighties, is actively helping us find the solutions we were seeking on this project and we’re having a blast working together.
I found the caliber of this program to be astounding. It may actually be one of Cincinnati’s best kept secrets. I felt fairly confident about my physical condition, but this program has helped me tweak things so that I can reach peak performance as an entrepreneurial leader. I believe any entrepreneur who wants to better themselves holistically would benefit from a visit to TriHealth for an Executive Physical and if you travel a lot, which many of us do.
