The Good Samaritan Hospital General Surgery Residency Program participates in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). After meeting the minimal application requirements, listed below, application materials are reviewed by faculty members in with interviews scheduled thereafter. Interviews are typically held from late October through mid January.

Minimum Application Requirements

  • USMLE Step I score
  • USMLE Step II score (if completed)
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Dean’s letter
  • Completed ERAS application
  • Curriculum Vitae

Foreign Medical Graduates - Additional Requirements

  • Only J1 Visas are considered
  • Minimum of 3 months of US clinical experience (not observerships)
  • Graduation from medical school within the last year only
