For Medical Students Interested in a Rotation

Medical Students Interested in Completing a 4th-Year Rotation at TriHealth

  1. All rotations can be 2 or 4 weeks in length throughout the academic year.
  1. Acting Internship (AI) rotations are generally offered between July and February.
  1. Students requesting rotations must attend schools that have active affiliation agreements on file with TriHealth. If you are unsure of your school’s affiliation status, please send an inquiry email to: studentaffilation@trihealth.com. Be sure to include your name of your school and its student placement coordinator.
  1. If your medical school does NOT have an active affiliation agreement with TriHealth, please email studentaffiliation@trihealth.com to request one be initiated. From there the GME department will work to determine if one can be executed. This process takes at least 90 days, so please allow sufficient time when applying to opportunities in Clinician Nexus.
  1. Once you confirm your school is affiliated with TriHealth, please follow this link to our learner management software platform, Clinician Nexus: Student: Sign Up | Clinician Nexus Help Center. You will be asked to join the platform by creating and updating your profile and linking it to your school. Then, you can begin searching for clinical opportunities or rotations at TriHealth. This is where you will complete an application form and submit the following documents:
    1. Test Score Reports for USMLE or COMLEX Step I and Step II exams
    1. A copy of your most recent CV/resume with your contact information
    1. A copy of your most recent medical school transcripts
    1. Your responses to the following questions:
      1. Why are you applying for an AI in Anesthesiology?

      2. Why are you interested in rotating at TriHealth?

      3. Which specialty (you can list more than one) do you anticipate you will apply to for the upcoming match cycle?

      4. What qualities or experiences set you apart from other applicants?

      5. Have you experienced any interruptions or remediation during medical school? If yes, please explain.

Applications are reviewed regularly and may be approved on a limited basis, depending on available rotation spots within each residency program and your ability to meet the program’s individual requirements.

Please note: We will not review any incomplete application packets.
